Have you ever had “one of those days” when it seemed like just about anything and everything that could go wrong, did; like the whole universe had aligned all its moving parts to conspire against you? You know what I’m talking about, for at one time or another, we’ve all had “one of those days.”
So what do we do? How do we cope? In a world gone mad, there really are no simple answers, just choices (and the decisions that follow); so to that end, I offer a few of my own simple thoughts:
- Reframe & Reimagine: “No matter how flat, the pancake always has two sides.” Empowered living is a choice; it’s a decision we make to reframe the realities of today with the possibilities of a reimagined tomorrow.
- Repackage & Repurpose: “Not everything in the bag belongs in the bag.”
There’s an old saying in the backpacking world, “Light is Right!” We have a tendency to ‘over pack’ our bag; resist that urge, for not everything that’s in our bag has value or purpose. Take an emotional inventory, and with a sense of renewed purpose ask yourself, “Do I really need this, does it belong in my bag?” If not, leave it behind!
- Reset: “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” We don’t always get a ‘do-over,’ but we can start-over; for it’s never too late to hit the proverbial reset button, so what are you waiting for, go out and “Seize the Day!”
